Oct 11-12: EcoDistricts Summit 2017 in Atlanta, GA

EcoDistricts’ mission is to empower city makers worldwide to accelerate district-scale sustainability to scale innovation and continually drive critical outcomes from the neighborhood up.

Atlanta has been known for its extensive highway system — a leading factor contributing to the city’s suburban sprawl. However, the city’s urban core is becoming more dense as people move into downtown to live and work, causing issues in gentrification, equity and displacement. Atlanta has a number of infrastructure and transportation projects that are actively changing the urban fabric of the city.

Urban leaders worldwide will convene in Atlanta, Georgia to explore the role of district-scale innovation that can address some of most critical issues facing city makers today. And they will explore how projects like the Atlanta Beltline, streetcar, and bike share are improving the connectivity of previously disconnected urban neighborhoods. Read more
